The diagnostic platforms we already pay for cost a fortune, take training to use, and still leave you searching forums when a code doesn't match. Workshops have been promised "the answer" by every tool rep for the last twenty years. Bench is being built because that promise has never quite landed.

The bet is simple: AI is finally good enough to do the research part of diagnostics — the bit that costs you billable hours. So Bench focuses on that. You bring the experience, the multimeter, and the customer car. Bench does the searching, the cross-referencing, and the workflow planning.

Bench is based in the UK and built with European workshops in mind first — VAG, BMW, Mercedes, and the realities of SFD/SFD2, coding, and retrofit work. The tools and content reflect that. If it works for an independent garage on a Tuesday morning in Birmingham, it's working.
